The Foundation

GJ Silver is a certified professional coach specializing in Intensity Integration and ADHD, a certified professional recovery coach, and founder of Ride to Rise Coaching. He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience from the technology and business world, including senior roles guiding complex programs, teams, and transformational change.

Since a very young age, GJ has been driven by a deep curiosity about how things work beneath the surface. That curiosity has taken him through neuroscience, neuroplasticity, energy, relationship dynamics, technology, motorsports, performance, and the mechanics of human behavior.

His coaching work blends real-world leadership experience, extensive study of neurobiology, nervous system regulation, neuroplasticity, ADHD-informed insight, and a deep ability to recognize the patterns that drive behavior, intensity, stress responses, and personal friction. He helps people better understand their patterns, regulate their energy, and turn their drive into clarity, flow, and reduced friction.

This is the foundation of Intensity Integration Coaching: helping people deeply understand their intensity patterns, balance them as strengths, reduce internal friction, and create greater clarity, flow, and balance in their lives.

A Life Driven by Intensity

For most of my life, there was a quiet sense that something was off.
Not loud. Not obvious. Just a background
signal I could never fully explain.
I kept it in the background, and I kept moving.

I am an intense person. Intensity lights me up.
I find my edge of excellence within intensity.
It’s not something I learned. It’s who I am.

I come alive in high-intensity environments.

Racing. Motocross. MTB. Dirt jumping. Surf, Skate, Snowboarding. Snowbiking. Paragliding. Rock Climbing, Professional musician. Fast cars. 4x4. High-pressure work.
Anything that demanded full presence.

That’s where everything clicked. I effortlessly dropped into flow.

But outside of that, everything else was different.

Focus was harder to access. Motivation dropped.
Everyday life felt flat, and harder than it should.
There was always friction here.

That background signal never went away. It just never had a name. So I ignored it.

And I kept pushing intensity to find that flow.

Most of the time, intensity gave me clarity, inspiration and joy.

Sometimes, it pushed me past my limits.

And like many high performers, I learned the hard way:

Intensity without balance will take you beyond your edge of excellence.
Then comes the crash.

Mentally. Physically. Emotionally.
Sometimes all three.

Over time, something shifted. I started to see the pattern.

I stopped trying to outrun or override that signal.
I started listening. Learning how my intensity actually worked.

Not as a flaw.
Not as something broken.

But as a pattern.

A pattern that could be understood. And once understood, integrated into all areas of my life in balance.

That changed everything.

Because when intensity is understood and integrated, it becomes focus, clarity, and forward movement. Friction is greatly reduced. A true gift.

This is what shaped me into a guide. Not from theory - From lived experience.

I have now focused my purpose to helping others, my service, to guide others in integrating their intensity with less friction in their life.

Understanding the Signal

I’ve always been wired to understand how things work.

From a young age, I was constantly taking things apart, experimenting, figuring things out.
I remember being seven years old tinkering in the garage, and wiring together an old motorcycle ignition switch, battery and a light.

When you turned the key, the light came on.

No one showed me how to do it. I just needed to understand how it worked.

That curiosity never left.
Over time, it expanded into a deeper fascination with how & why things work beneath the surface.
Neuroscience. How energy moves. Why patterns repeat.

That same drive was also turned inward. I wanted to understand what was happening inside me.

Why intensity worked so well. Why everything else felt harder.

Over time, I started to see it more clearly. That “signal” I felt for years wasn’t random.

It was feedback. The "signal" was "balance".

Balance within the pattern of how my system actually operated.

We all have an opitmal range of intensity where we function best.
A point where motivation, focus, clarity, and performance comes naturally. It flows.

I call this the Intensity Curve.

Some people sit lower on that curve. Some sit higher.

I’ve always sat on the higher end.

That’s why intensity brought me to life. And why everything outside of it felt like friction.

Before I ever had a name for it, I had already started learning how to work with it.
How to stay within my optimal range of intensity. How to avoid pushing past it.
And the real key, how integrate that same motivation, clarity and focus across the rest of my life in balance.

That became the foundation of Intensity Integration for myself, and later Intensity Integration Coaching for you.

Then later in life, I was diagnosed with ADHD.

It didn’t change what I had already discovered with my intensity integration. It brought deep pattern understanding to it.

It helped explain the mechanics behind my specific intensity patterns.

Why high stimulation creates focus, why low stimulation makes everything feel harder and why there is such a strong pull toward intensity.

Digging deeper I found a strong correlation between ADHD and intensity-driven people.

And why so many intensity-driven, adrenline-inspired wild-hearted people experience the same patterns.

It is clear - Some have ADHD. Some don’t.

But the intensity pattern is there either way.

That’s what my work is built on. Learning how to understand your intensity, finding your optimal range on the intensity curve and integrating that into the rest of your life with balance.

For me, this understanding and integration has created the largest positive changes in my life.
